Stephen Majewski, A.I.A. and Patrick M. Jones, R.A. established Majewski/Jones Architects in March 1999 in South Orange, New Jersey. Mr. Majewski and Mr. Jones had several years of experience collaborating on projects while working at a local architecture firm prior to forming MJA. There they realized they shared similar ideals towards architecture and design; that is thoroughly tailor individual assignments to suit the requirements and budget of each particular client. They also realized that they both insist on providing thoughtful and creative options for their clientele.
Throughout their careers, Mr. Majewski and Mr. Jones have had the privilege of working with specialty design and construction professionals. We have formed strong relationships of trust and understanding because of our active participation. Along with the careful addition of like-minded personnel over the years, MJA has succeeded in creating an award winning team. Their success is the byproduct of the respect that has sprung from the professional bonds they all share. This unique collaboration has resulted in over 20 design awards spanning many different categories.
Expertise & Experience
Combined, the principals have over thirty years of work experience in the field of Architecture. This experience ranges from small residential additions to private mansions and from restaurants to commercial office space. They continue this variety of work due to the steadfast support of clients who prefer their committed work ethic and appreciate the time and effort they invest in all their projects. They have also acquired new clients by expanding into new areas of the profession, such as Green Architecture, the latest advances on alternative power available, as well as innovations in design that address our specific concerns of energy consumption today.
Steve Majewski and Patrick Jones provide their clients with all aspects of architectural and interior design services, as well as pre-design and post-construction services. Says Steve, “Due to our professional alliances with trusted partners, we are pleased to offer a complete Design Build solution wherein all paperwork, permits, and exterior/interior selections are provided. We tailor all services provided by the firm to fit the needs of the individual client.” Patrick continues, “You, our client, have the option to be as physically involved as you wish, or in the alternative as your schedule permits, you may elect to have MJA select and provide all items with your final selection approval.
